Can't buy a tan out here

I think it's the pollution level out here or something because the UV index is like 11 everyday. I'm not getting any darker; I'm probably just damaging my skin without even knowing it.

I found my own pad and will be moving in within the next two weeks.

Elephants Gerald

The same day that I forgot to work, I bailed on my bike in front of 2-3 bystanders. Did they say anything? No. Did they do anything? Not really. They just watched me fall off and kept on walking. I wasn't physically hurt, but emotionally I was devastated.

Time flies when it's 80% humidity

I was chilling at the Starbucks in Kichijoji, sipping on an iced Chai Tea Latte and flipping through my Japanese textbook. I was thinking, "Man this holiday is loooong." Suddenly my phone rings and it's my boss.

Boss: "Simon, where are you?"
Me: "I'm in Kichijoji."
Boss: "Why are you in Kichijoji?"
Me: (pause) "Is there class today?!?!"

I think you know how the rest of this turns out.

Aircon or Die!

This is how they wash your hair in Tokyo.

Free hanky with purchase of water bottle!

I'll probably be living in something like this next month

As I'm still on holidays, I bought a Japanese textbook and am studying for about 2 hours a day. Mainichi boku wa nijikan benkyoo shimasu. So usually I head to the nearest cafe (where ever I may be) and crack that sucker open. Sometimes I get stuck in the smoking section and that's just not a productive place to study. After an hour, my eyes begin to burn from the smoke and my clothes smell awful.

Hmm, what else is new? I am playing drums for a local band and we will be playing at an outdoor festival in September. The music is kind of funky, 60's, soundtrack stuff.

Oh! And whenever I have to wake up early for work, I am so grumpy that I always have thoughts of wanting to going back to Vancouver. This usually lasts until lunch time. It's only temporary, but what a drag, ne?
